Konferencja otwierająca projekt LIFE13NAT/PL/000010
Dnia 17.06.2015 odbyła się konferencja otwierająca projekt LIFE13NAT/PL/000010 „Dywersyfikacja i rozwój populacji żubrów w północno-zachodniej Polsce”na terenie Bazy Obsługi Żubrów w Jabłonowie. Goście pojawili się o godzinie 9.00. Po powitaniu uczestników rozpoczęła się sesja wykładowa. Ramy programu obejmowały dwie sesje: pierwszą- prezentacje:„ Dywersyfikacja i rozwój populacji żubrów w północno-zachodniej Polsce” referowaną przez Magdalenę Tracz oraz „Ochrona żubra w północno-wschodniej Polsce” referowaną przez prof. Wandę Olech. Po krótkiej przerwie kawowej wygłoszono drugą sesję: prezentacje „ Praktyczne aspekty ochrony żubrów” wygłoszoną przez Macieja Tracza oraz „Nowe podejście do zarządzania populacjami żubra” wygłoszoną przez prof. Rafała Kowalczyka. Po zakończeniu wykładów, goście mieli czas na zwiedzanie Zagrody oraz obiad. Podczas konferencji miało miejsce posiedzenie inauguracyjne Rady Projektu, która to ustaliła harmonogram pracy projektu. Pozostałych uczestników nie wchodzących w skład Rady, czekała atrakcja w postaci wyjazdu terenowego i możliwości obserwacji żubrów wolnożyjących w Nadleśnictwie Mirosławiec.
